Villa Necchi Campiglio, located at via Mozart 14 in Milan, is a modernist residence designed by the prominent Rationalist architect Piero Portaluppi and built between 1932 and 1935. The villa exemplifies the rationalist aesthetic favored in interwar Milan and stands as a private residence set within a substantial garden featuring a tennis court and swimming pool—notably Milan's first private swimming pool and only the second in the city overall at the time of its construction. The house hosted notable guests including Henry of Hesse, the set designer for Teatro alla Scala, and Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy, who maintained a room reserved in her honor. Today it functions as a historic house museum and is designated as part of Italy's national heritage.
