Viterbo Cathedral, also called the Duomo di Viterbo or Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, is the principal church of Viterbo in Lazio, central Italy, and the seat of the bishop there. Dedicated to Saint Lawrence and begun in 1101, it is an imposing Romanesque structure set high on the hill the city climbs. An ill-advised sixteenth-century reconstruction stripped it of much of its original decoration.
