The Vladimir Palace stands on the south bank of the Neva in Saint Petersburg, on the Palace Embankment beside the Winter Palace and the Marble Palace. Built for Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, son of Alexander II, it was among the last imperial palaces erected in the city, designed by a team that included Alexander Rezanov. Its Neo-Renaissance façade follows the palazzi of Leon Battista Alberti in Florence, and its interiors, with some 360 rooms, are decorated in eclectic historic styles. It is a federal cultural heritage site in Russia.
