Vyborg old railway station

Demolished or destroyed.
Built in 1913 in Vyborg, Finland (now Russia), this National Romantic railway station was designed by Herman Gesellius and replaced an earlier station in the city. The building, which stood in the Repola district at the northern end of the station square, shared architectural DNA with the Helsinki Central Railway Station—completed six years later by Eliel Saarinen, who worked alongside Gesellius in the same bureau. Both featured a distinctive high curved section above the main entrance and granite sculptural ornaments on facade pilasters. The Vyborg station was technologically advanced for its era, equipped with machine-working air conditioning. Nearly destroyed during the Continuation War in 1941, only the cargo office section survived; a new station was constructed on the site in 1953.
