Wąchock Abbey is a Cistercian abbey located in Wąchock, Poland, in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains near Starachowice. Founded by Cistercian monks in the late twelfth century, the abbey was built beginning in 1101 and represents some of the most precious Romanesque architectural monuments in Poland. The Cistercians, renowned for their exacting standards in construction and their recruitment of master stonecutters, left behind well-preserved interiors and buildings that testify to their architectural ambitions. Though the abbey was demolished in 1819, it remains recognized as a significant architectural heritage site, designated an immovable monument in Poland.
