Wall Street station is an underground metro station in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, at the intersection of Broadway and Wall Street. Built for the Interborough Rapid Transit Company as part of the city's first subway line, it opened on June 12, 1905, and was designed in the Beaux-Arts style by Christopher Grant LaFarge and William Barclay Parsons. Its original interior, decorated with tile and mosaic, is a New York City landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
