The Warren County Administration Building in Indianola, Iowa, was originally constructed as a high school in 1925 by the Minneapolis architectural firm Grahn & Rathurst. This Late Gothic Revival structure of brick was designed to accommodate both elementary grades (1–6) on its first floor and high school grades (10–12) on the second, with a distinctive U-shaped hallway and a gymnasium-auditorium occupying the central space, surrounded by classrooms on the outer perimeter. After a new middle school was built in the district, the building underwent renovation between 1997 and 1999 to serve as the county's administrative center. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
