The Weissenhof Estate is a pioneering housing complex built in Stuttgart, Germany, for the 1927 Deutscher Werkbund exhibition, conceived as an international showcase of modern architecture's capacity to deliver inexpensive, simple, efficient, and high-quality housing. Among its various architects was Le Corbusier, who contributed two buildings that were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016 as part of *The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier, an Outstanding Contribution to the Modern Movement*. The remainder of the estate, along with adjacent streets and buildings, comprises the site's buffer zone.
