The Weld County Courthouse stands at 9th Street and 9th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado, a Classical Revival structure completed in 1917 by architect William N. Bowman. Built of Indiana limestone and marble, it features a monumental portico of Ionic columns and exemplifies neoclassical design principles through its careful detailing and lavish application of classical motifs. The building was recognized as architecturally significant and distinctive within the Greeley area when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Contemporary appraisals credited the courthouse with "great integrity and dignity" in its total design, noting it as virtually unparalleled among most of Colorado's county seats. The grounds include the "Lady Liberty of Greeley" statue, which was restored and reinstalled in 2006. At its completion, the courthouse served as a shared judicial facility for Weld, Larimer, and Boulder counties, representing the sixth courthouse building of the 19th Judicial Circuit.
