The Wolpa Synagogue, located in Vowpa in what is now western Belarus, was a wooden baroque structure built in 1700 that gained renown as the "most beautiful" of the wooden synagogues of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Considered a masterwork of wooden vernacular architecture, it stood for nearly two and a half centuries before its demolition in 1940.
