Zolochiv Castle stands on a hill at the confluence of two small rivers in the south-eastern part of Zolochiv, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. Built in 1634–36 by Jakub Sobieski with the labour of enslaved Crimean Tatars, its rectangular fort had solid walls in a Dutch style and four pentagonal corner towers. Later in the century, King John III Sobieski gave his wife, Queen Marie, the mauve Chinese Palace, a rotunda with one-storey wings. The complex is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine.
