This ten-storey office building in Toronto exemplifies Brutalist architecture in its dramatic inverted-pyramid form, completed in 1971. Designed by architect Maxwell Miller as the Canadian headquarters for Sears, the structure comprises 58,336 square metres of floor space and is constructed from pre-cast concrete finished in dark brown brick veneer, giving the fortress-like structure a distinctly imposing presence on Jarvis Street.
