The Andrews Building is the inaugural academic structure at the University of Toronto Scarborough, completed in 1964 near Highland Creek in Toronto's Scarborough district. Designed by architect John Andrews at age 29, this megalithic brutalist complex comprises the Science Wing and Humanities Wings and marked one of his first major commissions before he later contributed to the CN Tower's design. The building's expansive exposed concrete frame, stepped profile, and prominent chimneys exemplify a futuristic, forward-thinking approach that garnered international acclaim and secured the structure's cover appearance on *Time* magazine in 1967. Its distinctive aesthetic has since made it a recurring location in film and television, appearing in *The Shape of Water* (2017) and music videos by The Weeknd and Drake.
