The Akbari Sarai is a caravanserai located in Shahdara Bagh, Lahore, Pakistan, dating from 1637. Built in Mughal architectural style, this large inn originally served travelers and caretakers of the nearby Tomb of Jahangir. It stands as Pakistan's best-preserved example of such a structure, notable particularly for its monumental gateway, which is richly embellished with pietra dura (semi-precious stone inlay work) and functions as a portal to Jahangir's tomb.
