The Zein-o-Din Caravanserai, located in Yazd, Iran, is a 16th-century Safavid structure built during the reign of Abbas the Great to shelter travelers along the ancient Silk Road. Constructed of mud and brick, it stands as one of approximately 999 caravanserais erected during this period, and one of only two such facilities distinguished by circular towers. The building exemplifies the practical architecture of the era, designed to provide essential lodging and facilities for merchants and wayfarers. Following restoration, it has resumed operation as an inn, preserving both its historical function and cultural significance as part of Iran's UNESCO World Heritage designation and national heritage.
