The ruins of Alt-Trauchburg Castle stand above the hamlet of Kleinweiler near Weitnau in the Oberallgäu region of Swabia, Germany. Built around 1100, this high- to post-medieval fortress retains substantial portions of its original stone walls, making it among the best-preserved castle ruins in the Allgäu region. Now an archaeological site and architectural heritage monument in Bavaria, the castle offers a rare window into medieval fortification in this part of southern Germany.
