The Antigua Central Termoeléctrica in Málaga's Centro district is a neo-Mudéjar industrial building designed by architect Eduardo Strachan Viana-Cárdenas and completed in 1896. This thermoelectric power station exemplifies the ornamental industrial architecture of the late nineteenth century, applying the decorative vocabulary of Mudéjar revival—characterized by intricate brickwork and geometric patterning—to a functional power generation facility, reflecting Spain's modernization during the industrial era.
