The Bazaar of Arak, located in Markazi province, Iran, is a foundational monument of the city, built during the reign of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar by Yusef Khan-e Gorji in the middle of Sultan Abad, Arak's former name. Constructed in brick and mortar in the Qajar architectural style, this bazaar complex functioned as a multifaceted urban center, encompassing a public bath, mosque, water reservoirs, passages, and caravansary—essential amenities for merchants and travelers. The bazaar is organized around Chahr soogh, a central four-way junction where north–south and east–west routes converge at four ancient city gates, creating a hub of commerce and civic life. Recognized as one of the city's earliest structures, it was designated as an Iranian National Heritage site on November 1, 1976.
