The Bazaar of Tabriz, located in central Tabriz, Iran, is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East and the world's largest covered bazaar. Built in brick and mortar, it reflects the architectural traditions of successive periods—Safavid, Zand, and Qajar—layering centuries of commercial and cultural activity into its sprawling covered passages. Recognized as both an Iranian National Heritage site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the bazaar stands as a testament to the region's enduring mercantile importance and architectural continuity.
