Located in Central Tehran, the Grand Bazaar is a sprawling marketplace comprising multiple corridors extending over 10 kilometres in length, each devoted to specialized merchandise. Built in brick and mortar, the bazaar blends Safavid, Qajar, and Zand architectural traditions and serves as far more than a commercial center: it houses mosques, guest houses, and banks alongside its numerous shops. The complex is accessible via two Tehran Metro stations—Khayam and Khordad 15th—and is entered primarily through Sabze Meydan. Recognized as a cultural property of national significance, it was added to Iran's National Heritage List on 24 October 1977.
