The Arch of Augustus in Fano, located in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino in Italy, is an ancient Roman city gate erected in 9 CE. Built in the form of a triumphal arch with three vaults, it served as the entrance to the city along the via Flaminia, the famous Roman road that later became integrated into the city's walls as the decumanus maximus. The structure remains one of Fano's most iconic symbols, preserving the architectural vocabulary of classical Roman commemorative architecture.
