Athenwood and the Thomas W. Wood Studio are two Carpenter Gothic structures at 39 and 41 Northfield Street in Montpelier, Vermont, built as the home and workplace of Thomas Waterman Wood (1823–1903), a native American painter. Wood designed the buildings himself, which now serve as private residences. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, the pair exemplifies the distinctive aesthetic of nineteenth-century Carpenter Gothic architecture.
