Located at 1103 High Street in Auburn, California, the Auburn City Hall and Fire House is a Moderne-style building designed by George Clinton Sellon, the first State Architect of California. Constructed between 1935 and 1937 as a Works Progress Administration project, the structure served as both municipal center and fire station for the community. Beyond its primary civic functions, the building has hosted the Boys & Girls Club Auburn and, as of 2018, houses the Placer County Visitors Bureau and California Welcome Center. The building was recognized for its architectural and historical significance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
