Biete Gabriel-Rufael is an underground monolith rock-cut church in Lalibela, Ethiopia, built around 1200 during the Kingdom of Axum. Carved from a single block of stone, this Orthodox church is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Lalibela. The structure is traditionally understood as the House of the Angels Gabriel and Raphael and may have originally served as a royal palace, with associations to a holy bakery.
