Biebrich Palace, a Baroque residence in the Biebrich borough of Wiesbaden, Hesse, was built in 1702 by Prince Georg August Samuel of Nassau-Idstein. Designed by architects Friedrich Joachim Stengel and Maximilian von Welsch, the château exemplifies Baroque architectural principles. Following the creation of the independent Duchy of Nassau in 1816, the palace became the ducal residence and remained so until 1866. Today recognized as a cultural monument (Kulturdenkmal), it stands as a significant example of early 18th-century German palace architecture.
