Bílá labuť (White Swan), located on Na Poříčí Street in Prague's New Town, is a department store completed in 1939 by architects Josef Kittrich, Josef Hrubý, and Jan Gillar. Designed in the functionalist style, it stands as one of the finest examples of interwar avant-garde architecture. Upon opening, it was the largest and most modern department store in Central and Eastern Europe. The building is protected as a cultural monument by the Czech Republic and recognized by the Prague Municipality as architecturally valuable. It is currently undergoing extensive renovation.
