The Cape Bruny Lighthouse stands at the southern tip of Bruny Island in Tasmania, built in 1838 to guide vessels through the region's treacherous waters. Now inactive, the structure is listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register as a significant heritage site. Little is documented about its architectural character or the circumstances of its construction, but the lighthouse remains a landmark of nineteenth-century maritime infrastructure in southeastern Australia.
