Carrick Castle is a 14th-century tower house standing on a rocky peninsula on the west shore of Loch Goil, on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The rectangular structure measures approximately 66 by 38 feet and rises 64 feet high, with walls seven feet thick. Originally defended by a ditch and drawbridge, it comprises a central great hall with two floors above, and includes an unusual chimney built into a window recess. A smaller 17th-century appendage was later added to the original tower. Now designated a Category A listed building and scheduled monument by Historic Environment Scotland, the castle remains a prominent landmark in the surrounding landscape.
