The Castle of Diósgyőr is a medieval Gothic castle in the historic town of Diósgyőr, now part of the northern Hungarian city of Miskolc. Its current structure was built after the Mongol invasion of 1241–42, which destroyed an earlier castle on the site. It reached its peak under King Louis the Great (1342–1382), and later served as a wedding gift to the queens of Hungary until the Ottoman invasion in the 16th century. It was restored in 2014.
