Central Gate, also known as the Shell Building, is a large office and retail complex completed in 1934 in central Brussels, designed by Alexis Dumont and Marcel Van Goethem in the New Objectivity style. Commissioned by Shell Immeubles Belges as the Belgian headquarters of the oil company, the building reflects the functional and commercial design principles of the interwar period, incorporating shops, offices, and a rental car park. Located at the star-shaped junction of Marché au Bois near Brussels-Central railway station, it stands within easy walking distance of the Mont des Arts.
