The Chapel of Sainte-Ursule de la Sorbonne, located at 17 Rue de la Sorbonne in Paris's 5th arrondissement, is a classicist chapel designed by Jacques Lemercier and completed in 1642. Commissioned by Cardinal Richelieu in 1626, the chapel served as the religious center for Catholic students and faculty of the College of Sorbonne and later the university's faculties. Richelieu's tomb was placed within the chapel following his death in 1642. The building stands as the only surviving 17th-century structure at the university and is classified as a historical monument. Today it remains open to visitors by reservation only.
