Château Belgrave is a winery in the Haut-Médoc appellation of the Bordeaux region in France, located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-Médoc near the border with Saint-Julien-Beychevelle. Originally known as Château Coutenceau, it received its present name in 1845 when Bruno Devès, a Bordeaux negociant, remodeled the estate to emphasize wine growing on gravel terroirs. The château was classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) in the official 1855 Bordeaux Wine Classification. Today, its 59-hectare vineyard is planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (42%), with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The estate also produces a second wine, Diane de Belgrave, which was introduced with the 1987 vintage.
