Château Pouget is a winery in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France, classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Cru) in the prestigious 1855 Bordeaux Wine Official Classification. The property passed to François-Antoine Pouget in 1748 and remained with the Pouget de Chavailles family for over a century and a half following the 1771 marriage of his daughter Claire to Pierre-Antoine de Chavailles. Though the family endured the requisition of their lands during the French Revolution, they ultimately achieved distinction when the château earned its fourth cru ranking in 1855. The building itself evolved from a cellar, with its front portion converted into a residential house during the second half of the nineteenth century; two marble medallions on the façade commemorate the château's various classifications.
