The Château de Montreuil-Bellay stands on a hill above the Thouet River in the town of Montreuil-Bellay, Maine-et-Loire, France, on a site first built up from a Gallo-Roman village. Listed as a monument historique, it is known for high walls with 13 interlocking towers and a single fortified gateway, added in a medieval renovation. In 1860 some of its rooms were redone in the Troubadour style.
