Designed by Edwin Lutyens and unveiled in 1930, the Cheylesmore Memorial stands in Victoria Embankment Gardens, Westminster, as a Grade II listed tribute to Major-General Herbert Eaton, 3rd Baron Cheylesmore, a distinguished Grenadier Guards officer who died in 1925. Constructed from Portland stone, the memorial features integrated seating backed by a decorative screen overlooking a small pond, with an inscription at its centre commemorating Cheylesmore's military service, administrative work, and philanthropy. The dedication ceremony on 17 July 1930 was presided over by Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, Queen Victoria's third son, attended by notable figures including Admiral John Jellicoe.
