The Church of St Theodore in Nesebar, Bulgaria, is a Byzantine single-nave structure built in 1201 from rock, with a narthex and apse. Its north and western façades, measuring 8.70 meters long and 4.15 meters wide, survive from the original 13th-century construction, while later periods saw the addition of new walls and roof. The façade displays characteristic Byzantine ornamentation: blind arches of worked stone and brick frame the walls, with the spaces beneath them decorated in staggered zigzag patterns created by alternating stone and brick blocks.
