The Church of the Holy Virgin was an Armenian Apostolic church in Baku's Old City, built in the 18th century (sources variously cite 1797 or 1799) in the Armenian architectural style. Located on the southern side of the Maiden Tower near the caravanserai and between several streets, the modest structure served a small Armenian congregation, as few Armenians lived in the Old City proper. By the late 19th century, the priest Markar Barkhudaryants noted it as one of two stone churches for Armenians in Baku, characterizing it as old based on its internal and external architectural forms. The church survived into the early 1990s, when it was demolished in 1992 during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, leaving an empty space at its former site near the Maiden Tower.
