Built between 1896 and 1899 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Church of the Saviour is a Lutheran place of worship designed by architect Adolf Eichler in the Gothic Revival style. The structure features an elongated rectangular hall with a deep apse, its interior organized around a central axis defined by a prominently profiled Neo-Gothic arch, vaulted ceiling, and arched side windows. A single tower rises vertically from the building's courtyard setting, while the exterior displays restrained Neo-Gothic ornament—including austere pilasters and a dynamic pediment at the central portal—that creates volumetric plasticity without excess. The well-proportioned design and clear structural articulation exemplify disciplined Gothic Revival aesthetics. The building is recognized as a cultural heritage monument in Azerbaijan.
