The Church of the Redeemer, located near Potsdam in Brandenburg, Germany, is a Protestant church built in 1844 in Italian Romanesque Revival style with Byzantine Revival elements. Designed by architect Friedrich Ludwig Persius based on drawings by King Frederick William IV of Prussia, the church is distinguished by its campanile (separate bell tower) and scenic waterside setting. Its architectural composition achieves particular renown for its harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape. In 1992, the church was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the "Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin" for its architectural significance and cohesive relationship with its parkland setting and nearby Sacrow Manor.
