Located in Kaukopää, Imatra, Finland, the Church of the Three Crosses (Kolmen Ristin kirkko), also known as Vuoksenniska Church, is a Lutheran church completed in 1958 to designs by Alvar Aalto. Considered Aalto's most original church design, it takes its name from three crosses positioned at the altar. The building's innovative interior consists of three consecutive halls separated by sliding walls, allowing sections to serve parish functions during the week while maintaining the full sanctuary for worship. Its white exterior contrasts with a copper roof. Designated a nationally significant cultural heritage site by the Finnish Heritage Agency, the church has been recognized by Docomomo as a landmark of modern Finnish architecture and was selected by a committee commemorating Aalto's centenary as one of his five most important works. In 2026, it was inscribed as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation shared with twelve other buildings by Aalto.
