The City Theatergebouw in Amsterdam is a movie theater completed in 1935 by Dutch architect Jan Wils, designed in the modernist Neues Bauen style. Now recognized as a municipal monument in the Netherlands, the building exemplifies early twentieth-century cinema architecture and the functionalist principles that shaped progressive Dutch design of the interwar period.
