The Van Swinden Theatre, a cinema in Amsterdam completed in 1936, was designed by architects Oskar Rosendahl and Jan Wils. Built during the interwar period, it represents the era's investment in purpose-built movie palaces. Though it no longer operates as a cinema, the structure remains a historical record of early twentieth-century Dutch architectural practice in entertainment venues.
