Located at 16 Preston Street in Como, Western Australia, the Como Theatre is a Streamline Moderne cinema designed by architect William T. Leighton and completed in 1938. Originally opened as the Cygnet Cinema, it was built by local film entrepreneur James Stiles and served as the first purpose-built sound cinema in the suburbs immediately south of Perth during the inter-war period. An exemplary work of art deco design, the theatre is registered on the State Register of Heritage Places.
