Convocation Hall, a domed Beaux-Arts rotunda on the University of Toronto's St. George campus, was designed by the architectural firm Darling and Pearson and completed in 1907. Its radially planned interior has drawn comparisons to the grand amphitheatre of the Sorbonne and Oxford's Sheldonian Theatre, though no direct architectural precedent is documented. Built primarily to host the university's annual convocation ceremonies, the hall also accommodates academic and social functions for large audiences year-round, including convocation ceremonies from across the university's three campuses. The building is designated a heritage property.
