Completed in October 2016, the Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre is a 530-metre postmodern supertall skyscraper in Guangzhou's Zhujiang New Town designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. Clad in glass, it stands as the tallest completed building in Guangzhou, the third-tallest in China, and the eighth-tallest globally. The mixed-use tower contains 111 above-ground and five below-ground floors, with a gross floor area of approximately 507,681 square metres accommodating a shopping mall, offices, apartments, and a hotel. Known also as the East Tower, it forms part of the Guangzhou Twin Towers pair alongside the 439-metre West Tower, both situated near the 604-metre Canton Tower along Zhujiang East Road. The building features an underground mall and public transportation connections and houses the world's fastest elevators, capable of reaching speeds of up to 21 metres per second.
