The Daniel and Mary Lee House stands on Pepperidge Road in Portland, Connecticut, a well-preserved example of rural vernacular colonial-era residential architecture constructed around 1774. Built during the Georgian period, the house retains its original character while bearing later Federal period alterations that reflect changing tastes during the early republic. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, it represents the enduring domestic architecture of rural New England at the threshold of American independence.
