The Double Company Barracks in Freising, Germany, built in 1904, is a striking blend of Jugendstil and Baroque Revival architecture. Originally constructed as military barracks—known as the Vimy barracks—the complex now serves as an apartment building. Rising 24 meters, the ensemble features a three-storey longitudinal wing anchored by a central building crowned with a clock tower, flanked by four-storey side wings topped with mansard hipped roofs. The richly structured facades display neo-Baroque forms enhanced by Art Nouveau details, reflecting the ornamental vocabulary of the early 20th century. Recognized as an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria, the building preserves an important example of early-modern military and residential design.
