Edifici Colón, completed in 1970 in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella district, was the first skyscraper to exceed 100 metres in the city. Designed by Josep Ribas i González, this 28-storey office tower rises 110 metres and exemplifies brutalist architecture with its bold, sculptural forms. Located on Avinguda de les Drassanes and also known as Torre Marítima, the building holds protected status as a Cultural Asset of Catalonia's heritage.
