Egerberk is a ruined Gothic castle near Klášterec nad Ohří in the Czech Republic, built around 1300. Named after the Eger (Ohře) river, the castle was first documented in 1317 when it belonged to Wilhelm, a companion of John of Luxembourg who took his surname from the fortress. The castle subsequently passed to the House of Šumburk before being acquired by the House of Škopek in 1384, when Jindřich Škopek z Dubé undertook substantial reconstruction work. The fortress had been abandoned by the end of the sixteenth century and now survives as a designated cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
