The Empress Theatre, an abandoned Egyptian Revival structure on Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district, was designed by architect Alcide Chaussé. The cinema operated for 65 years before closing in 1992, later becoming known as Cinema V during its final decades of operation.
